In Spain, property rights are increasingly unprotected as a result of legal and regulatory changes that exceed the prevailing criteria of reasonableness used both in the European Union and in transnational investments; or that they subvert private property to supply, at no cost to the treasury, the shortcomings of public policies (the case, for example, of evictions and squatters).
