Both governments and international development aid organizations have been devoting plenty of resources to “simplifying” the procedures for creating and formalizing companies. Many of these actions naively focus on reducing the costs of processing the formalization of the company, thereby marginalizing something much more important: the need for formalizing agencies to provide reliable information to judges, Public Administration and, above all, other companies.
